In the past, the Allopathic treatment was based on the concept that the resistance power of the body against diseases should be increased. The physician tried to cure the patient by balanced diet, rest, purification of blood and medicines made from plants, minerals and biological products. When the doctors learnt about the germs that attack the body and anti-toxins produced in the body to fight them, treatment by increasing the resistance power of the body by vaccination became very popular. the physicians were quite successful in destroying the bacteria with the help of chemical elements. Apart from these, operations are the strong arm of allopathy.



When Alexander Fleming discovered the antibiotic Penicillin in 1928 and succeeded in isolating it in 1940, a new age arrived in the treatment of diseases. These antibiotics were widely used to prevent spreading germs of diseases. the antibiotics were scarce in the beginning, but now antibiotic medicines to fight all sorts of bacteria have been developed and marketed.
